Erebus Motorsport will be the first team in pit lane to introduce the Snap-on Tools Cordless Impact Wrench to their arsenal for the 2023 Supercars season.
The Snap-on 18 V 3/4″ Drive Cordless Impact Wrench will function as an electric wheel gun that features three torque settings and boasts 1,000 ft-lb of torque output to break loose stubborn fasteners.
While the typical pneumatic guns will still be used during pit stops, the Snap-on Cordless Impact Wrench will make wheel adjustments inside the garage quicker, easier and more convenient.
Erebus CEO Barry Ryan is proud to be celebrating 12 years of partnership with Snap-on Tools and is pleased with the introduction of the electric wheel gun.
“Having Snap-on tools in your garage or home workshop has always made you the envy of any other mechanic. They are truly the best tools in the world,” Ryan said.
“Using electric wheel guns was something common in GT racing with Snap-on and now building it into the new GEN3 cars with the wheel nut change is fantastic.
“We look forward to giving Snap-on technical feedback and seeing if we can help further develop the tools.”
