A Wild One at Albert Park

The Melbourne SuperSprint at the Australian Grand Prix had no shortage of drama, with both Jack and Cooper caught in incidents across the four-race schedule. A chaotic Race 4 saw both drivers turned around, while our crew pulled an all-nighter to rebuild the #9 Tyrepower Camaro after a heavy crash in Race 5.

Race 4: Fast Cars, Rough Racing

Jack qualified strongly in P4 for Thursday’s Race 4, but was turned around by Brodie Kostecki early in the race, dropping him back in the pack. Not long after, Cooper was also spun, leaving both our cars out of contention.

The race sparked criticism over driving standards, with stewards later clarifying the balance between hard racing and enforcement.

Race 5: Jack’’s Race Over in Four Corners, Overnight Rebuild for the #9

Just four corners into Lap 1, Le Brocq was tagged by Ryan Wood and sent into the wall, ending his race on the spot. Wood was handed a pit lane penalty, but talking to media post-race Jack made it clear there’s a need for improved driver standards.

With significant damage to the #9 Tyrepower Camaro, our crew worked deep into Friday night to get the car back on track.

Cooper, meanwhile, drove an impressive and relatively trouble-free race. Starting from P14, he made his way through the pack to finish in the top 10 with a solid P9 result—a performance that highlighted both how quickly he is settling into his first full time season, the team and the potential of the car.

Race 6: Cooper’s Run Ends in the Gravel

Starting P5 in Race 6, Cooper was looking strong, but was sent off by Macauley Jones, forcing a DNF.

Race 7: No Reward for Cooper’s Standout Qualifying

Cooper’s P3 start in Race 7 was one of the standout moments of the weekend, but torrential rain saw the race abandoned before he could make the most of it.

Next Up

We know we have the speed—we just need some luck and a chance to race. Both Jack and Cooper continue to show great qualifying pace, and we’re all looking forward to heading to New Zealand and the chance to convert that potential into some results.
