Founded in 2011, Erebus Motorsport was born from the vision of team owner Betty Klimenko. With a proven track record in GT, Betty shifted gears and over the past decade has created a Supercars powerhouse.

In 2016, Erebus moved from Queensland to Melbourne, building the foundations for the seasons to come. The team focused on quality rather than quantity in recruitment, positioning itself to compete with the giants of racing. The turning point came in 2017 when Erebus shed its “underdog” label by triumphing in the Bathurst 1000 and becoming only the second team in history to win both the Bathurst 12 Hour and the Bathurst 1000.

The success continued into 2018, with Erebus securing three wins, five pole positions, and numerous podium finishes, ultimately achieving their best-ever fourth place in the 2018 Team’s Championship. Looking towards the future in 2019, Erebus signed rising star Will Brown to a multi-year deal, setting the stage for his remarkable journey from the Super2 Series to the main game in 2021.

In 2021, Erebus welcomed Brodie Kostecki to join Will Brown, creating a formidable lineup. The duo concluded their rookie seasons with a win and six podiums, including a third-place finish at the Bathurst 1000. The introduction of Gen3 in 2023 saw Erebus lead from the front, securing two pole positions and seven podiums in the initial two rounds, with Brodie Kostecki achieving his maiden victory.

It would become a hallmark year for the Erebus crew. After years of knocking on the door without landing significant punches, Erebus emerged as the dominant force. Leading the teams’ championship from Newcastle until the decider on the streets of Adelaide, Brodie Kostecki asserted himself as the top contender. Despite challenges, Erebus remained resilient, overcoming a mid-season lull and a second place at Bathurst to top off a brilliant season.

The team’s performance was characterised by consistency, precision, and two benchmark cars. The news of the departure of Brown to Triple Eight mid-season didn’t unsettle the team; instead, it galvanised them, with Kostecki leading Erebus to glory.

As Erebus gears up for 2024, the addition of Jack Le Brocq and the departure of Brown mark a new chapter. The team is riding high on the momentum of their 2023 success and Kostecki’s proven track record, with just one DNF in 92 starts, instils confidence in their ability to navigate the challenges.

The team’s back-to-back hopes rest on a foundation of experience, skill, and a winning mindset.
