After an incredible performance at the Bathurst 1000, Erebus Motorsport have secured a $75,000 donation for the team’s official charity, Feel the Magic.
Shaw and Partner’s Foundation pledged $25,000 for each Erebus Commodore that made the Top Ten Shootout, with an additional $25,000 per car that crossed the line inside the top ten on Sunday.
Shaw and Partners Co-Chief Executive Officer Earl Evans is thrilled to see the Foundation making such a large contribution after Erebus’ efforts across the weekend.
“At Shaw and Partners, it’s really important for us to be able to give back to the community and support the hard work of Australian charities,” Evans said.
“We’re so proud to be able to donate $75,000 to Feel the Magic after the incredible performance put on by Erebus across the Bathurst weekend.
“We understand the difference a donation of this size will make to those involved with Feel the Magic and it’s a great feeling.”
Qualifying on Friday saw the Erebus drivers securing the first $50,000 after both making the Top Ten Shootout, with Will Brown claiming provisional pole and Brodie Kostecki finishing sixth.
In Sunday’s Great Race, Kostecki and his co-driver David Russell finished third, securing an additional $25,000 and bringing the total donation up to $75,000.
Feel the Magic CEO Adam Blatch is thrilled to see the charity claim such a generous donation and is looking forward to the year ahead.
“We are so thankful to have been given the amazing opportunity to work with Erebus and Shaw and Partners,” Blatch said.
“Shaw and Partners $75,00 donation to Feel the Magic is just extraordinary and will fund a full Camp Magic program in 2022 – that’s 50 kids through our signature program that has the most significant impact on changing the way kids live with their grief.”
Feel the Magic is an Australian non-profit who provide early intervention grief education programs for children aged 7 to 17 who have experienced the loss of a parent, guardian or sibling.
The Shaw and Partners donation will fund an entire camp program which will see kids learn to manage their grief by teaching practical coping strategies that help reduce the mental health challenges associated with childhood grief.
Erebus Motorsport is thrilled to have been able to facilitate this wonderful partnership and is proud to shine a spotlight on such an incredible charity.
