Erebus Motorsport’s Will Brown has secured provisional pole in a thrilling Bathurst 1000 qualifying at Mount Panorama today.
It comes as Will’s first time qualifying a car for the Bathurst 1000 and marks the first time a driver has set a 2:03 lap this early in the weekend.
Brodie Kostecki also drove a brilliant lap to claim a 2:04.2201, and secure sixth in tomorrow’s Top Ten Shootout.
The results see the Shaw and Partners Foundation donated $50,000 to the team’s charity partner Feel the Magic, with still another $50,000 up for grabs on Sunday.
The team now have two more practice sessions tomorrow, ahead of the Top Ten Shootout at 5:05pm local time.
