Boost Mobile Racing powered by Erebus driver Brodie Kostecki has claimed his fourth career podium in the final race at the Sydney SuperNight.
The result came relatively easy for the rising star, after securing his first Supercars Championship pole position in the Top Ten Shootout.
Teammate Will Brown was also a talking point, moving up 15 spots to 8th at the checkered flag.
Starting from P23, Will wasted no time picking off the cars in front and wrangled his tyres around Sydney Motorsport Park, fighting his way into the top ten by lap five.
Brodie was the fastest car on track and led 37 laps before the second of the three Safety Cars was deployed when Nick Percat found the wall. Both Boost Mobile Commodores pit under yellow flag conditions.
With 30 laps left to run Brodie was fighting with Chaz Mostert for the lead, meanwhile Will pumped out quick laps in the bottom of the top ten.
Rain wreaked havoc on lap 62 and saw the field scramble for pit lane, stopping for wet tyres for the final sprint home. The Safety Car made a third and final appearance and bunched the field back up for a wild sprint to the finish line.
Brodie finished spectacularly in 2nd, ahead of Will in 8th. Their combined results at Sydney Motorsport Park sees them head to the next round in Tasmania, 2nd in the Team’s Championship.
