Coca-Cola Racing’s Will Brown has claimed another victory in the final race at Symmons Plains today, with the Erebus duo also taking double podium’s in both races.
Race 11
Brodie claimed the team’s second pole of the weekend and was quick to get away when the lights went out.
Will, who started right behind in P3, also got away well and swiftly overtook Broc Feeney to move into 2ndplace.
With no team orders and quicker lap times, Will got by Brodie to take the lead on lap 4, as the two Coca-Cola Camaros built a gap on the field.
Brodie was fast and got his lead back on lap 15, moments before Will took his compulsory stop, pitting for two rear tyres.
Brodie took his stop on lap 20, though when the field was cleansed, an overcut helped Broc Feeney take the lead.
Brodie came home 2nd to take the team’s 50th Supercars podium while Will fended off Cam Waters to claim his 10th career podium in 3rd.
Race 12
Brodie powered to a Sunday pole-double and Erebus qualifying clean sweep for the final race of the weekend, with Will lining up next to him in P2, just 0.0029-seconds between them.
Will was off to a flyer and soared past his teammate on the start to take the lead, with Brodie now P2.
The Erebus duo pulled away from the field before car #99 took his compulsory stop for rear tyres at the end of lap 20.
Will made his stop two laps later and with fresh rears on the car for the remaining 19 laps, he charged towards the checkered flag in dominating fashion.
Brodie held onto his tyres as much as he could but showed signs of struggle on his second set. He dropped back two spots though a late charge from the Championship leader saw him reclaim the last spot on the podium, claiming P3.
Will’s fourth career win and third of the season sees him move up to 2nd in the Driver’s Championship, behind his teammate.
The team now look towards the top end for the Darwin Triple Crown, June 16 – 18.
