Coca-Cola Racing by Erebus leaves Sydney still on top as Brodie Kostecki finished Race 19 in P8 and teammate Will Brown in P14.
The most action happened as the lights went out for Race 19, with Brodie starting from P4 and Will P10.
The focus quickly turned to Will who was caught in a four-car battle into Turn 1. The side-to-side melee saw Will sent into a high-speed spin across the grass, before he was able to gather it up, albeit now last.
Will didn’t lack speed though and moved up six spots to P19 before the pit stop cycle started on lap 15.
Will took his compulsory stop on lap 17, while Brodie took his tyres two laps later. For Will though, it wasn’t as smooth as it could have been, as steering lock prevented the crew being able to perform the fastest wheel change.
When the field was settled Will had shown just how good his car was, in P14, while Brodie wasn’t having as much luck at moving forward.
The #99 driver came out of the pit stops in P6, though with the tyres unable to hang on, Brodie dropped to P8 before the finish line.
Will continued to smash out quick lap times to secure P14 at the checkered, the result marking his first time outside of the top 10 since Race 7 in Perth.
The team remain on top of the Team’s leader board, with Brodie and Will holding onto their positions in the Driver’s tally.
The next round of the Supercars Championship heads to Tailem Bend, July 19-20.
