Coca-Cola Racing by Erebus have hit the track at Winton today, as they gear up for the upcoming enduro season.
It is the first of two enduro tests for Erebus, who have scheduled a second day on September 26.
Jack Perkins and David Russell secured valuable track time as they dived deep into testing, after participating in the official Supercars test in February and taking a few hot laps at Sydney last month.
Today’s test was preceded by Perkins completing a test in his Super2 car yesterday, while Russell completed valuable laps at Sandown in his Porsche.
The team has clear objectives for the day: to confirm their setup philosophy ahead of the endurance rounds and to develop Perkins’ and Russell’s familiarity with the new generation vehicles.
The team also completed a number of enduro related pit stops, including driver changes, refuelling and brake calliper changes which are compulsory at Bathurst.
Both pairings secured top ten finishes at last year’s Bathurst 1000 with Brown and Perkins securing P10, while Kostecki and Russell finished just shy of the podium in P4.
The enduros kick off with the Sandown 500, September 15-17, ahead of the Bathurst 1000, October 5-8.
