The dream team is back for 2018, with Alistair McVean secured again as David Reynolds’ right hand man.
After starting with the team at Bathurst in 2016, the duo finished last year on a high, claiming multiple podiums and the all important Bathurst victory.
“2017 was a fantastic year where we continually raised our goals and expectations throughout the season and kept finding that those expectations were always being exceeded,” McVean said.
“To finish the season with front row regular qualifying positions at 4 of the last 5 events and a Bathurst win was very satisfying and shows just how much progress we had been able to make through the year.”
Between them, the pair has conquered the mountain an incredible 5 times and they aren’t showing signs of slowing down.
McVean says there is plenty more to come, after confirming a multi-year contract with the team.
“I feel I have found a home here, and just love the freedom the engineering department is given to pursue their ideas for improving performance,” McVean said.
“While we don’t have the budget of the bigger teams, we have never scrimped on the development budget and this is the ultimate scenario for an engineer.
“Betty and Daniel are also very supportive team owners, while Dave is a very level headed driver which means the pressure to perform only feels like it comes from within yourself; doing your job is so much easier knowing you have that support behind you.”
Mirko De Rosa is also back for his third year with the team and is ready to partner with young gun, Anton De Pasquale.
“Anton is a very talented driver, so it’s very exciting to be working with him,” De Rosa said.
“He has done a really good job in his junior categories, so we are very excited to see what he do in the next few seasons.
“We are already working well together and I am really looking forward to the season.”
With the team’s first test day scheduled for late-January, both driver and engineering combos are itching to get to the track ahead of the Adelaide 500.
