Jobe Stewart secured his first-ever Super2 win with a dominant performance, leading from the start. Stewart, who came close to victory in the season opener, finally took the top step of the podium with a 12-second lead over his closest rival, Max Vidau.

Stewart’s flawless drive began with a clean start through Hell Corner, where a five-wide scramble for second erupted behind him. While Aaron Cameron made a stunning move to take second early on, Stewart steadily built a commanding lead. His smooth and calculated approach allowed him to maintain control, with Cameron later dropping out of contention due to engine failure. This left Stewart free to cruise to victory, celebrating an emotional and hard-fought win.

In the mix for third, Jarrod Hughes emerged as a standout performer. Despite fierce competition, Hughes held his ground, fending off advances from competitors like Tickford’s Brad Vaughan. As chaos unfolded behind him, Hughes recorded a personal best result, fourth at the flag.

Saturday will see another Quali and Race 2.
