If you think it’s hard to commit, to dedicate everything you have, to sacrifice your time – try losing! Erebus Motorsport is committed to winning, the weekend displayed their tenacious desire to succeed, General Manager of Erebus Motorsport Barry Ryan explains –

“Sport is an emotional rollercoaster; we commit our very being to one goal. Our team proved on the weekend in Townsville that they want to be contenders. Taking fifth in the top ten shootout, running inside the top three for most of Sunday’s race and finishing on top of Fridays first practice is evidence that we have the desire and commitment to win”.

The record books won’t show the improvements the team made on the weekend. David Reynolds raced his Holden Commodore Erebus Penrite Hungry Jacks Racing number 9 car superbly. He displayed championship winning skills and precision. Dave is positive the team are finding their way –

“The record books won’t show what we achieved this weekend, said Reynolds”. “ I am proud of the entire team. We are a small team in resource but the largest team in knowledge and heart and the gains we continue to achieve are a credit to everyone involved”.

The second of two yellow flags fell with 8 laps remaining. The team choose to leave Dave out there on worn tyres, it’s a gamble that didn’t pay dividends, however it won’t derail the team’s motivation and goals, Ryan explains –

“It could have gone either way. This time our tyre decision under the final yellow didn’t work in the race. With that said our car was fast, our crew did an amazing job in pit stops and Dave showed how strong we can be. We have less than two weeks to prepare for Queensland Raceway. We have gained a lot of positives from the weekend. We will now turn our attention to the next round in two weeks”.

The team now prepares for the next round of racing;
