Erebus Motorsport’s David Reynolds has signed a new deal to remain with the Melbourne squad beyond the end of this season.

Although not spilling on the details, Reynolds confirmed today that pen has been put to paper.

“I’m stating the obvious a bit, I told them I wasn’t talking to anyone else and wasn’t going anywhere else,” he said.

Reynolds joined Erebus Motorsport last season where he scored the team’s first Holden podium.

Since then, the team have been on an upward spiral, with Reynolds scoring another podium at Phillip Island.

“I really liked working with Betty, Barry and the entire team; then adding Alistair to the mix brought a new power,” Reynolds said.

“I’m extremely happy with everything and I think they’re happy with me.

“I love going racing and I love representing Penrite; we have a really good group of people that are passion about what they do and are also able to have a good time.

“I’ve enjoyed racing cars more than I ever have so for me it’s a no brainer.”

Team owner Betty Klimenko shared similar thoughts.

“It really was a non-event for us because we knew what we were doing, and we have for a long time,” she said.

“The partnership between Dave, myself and the team is basically a lifetime commitment, we don’t see that changing.

“What we have now is the perfect fit and the contract is just a formality, although I can now say that it is signed.”
