He’s one of five rookies this weekend, but Anton De Pasquale has raced around Phillip Island before. The #99 driver competed at the circuit in the Super2 Series the past two years, and even took out the win last year.

Here’s what he had to say ahead of the weekend

“Phillip Island is a very fast circuit and has some fairly big braking zones. You need a bit of courage and a good car.

“I’ve had a drive of the car since Tasmania and we were able to find a few things and work on some things we wanted to try to get it better, which we are hoping to be positive here this weekend.

“Everywhere this year the car has suited pretty well, we’ve got good results as a team at three different circuits now, some better than others, but still always relatively strong. We should be strong again here but we’ll just have to see how we roll out tomorrow.”
