Erebus Motorsport has taken delivery of a new MAN TGX D38 to haul its precious cargo to and from events, entering into a formal partnership with Westar Truck Centre for the remainder of this season and next.
Westar Truck Centre is one of Australia’s largest retailers of commercial vehicles and their state of the art dealership in Derrimut is custom designed to meet the needs of commercial vehicles buyers.
Westar is part of the Patterson Cheney group of automotive companies and along with its Campbellfield branch, retails leading truck brands MAN, Western Star, Dennis Eagle, Isuzu and the Iveco Daily range.
“Westar is proud of the association with Erebus Motorsport; both companies have a commitment to excellence and standing out from the competition,” Westar Truck Centre Dealer Principal, Anthony Long said.
“We know many of our customers are Motorsport fans, and I’m sure they’ll enjoy seeing the distinctive ‘Westar’ MAN out on the road and at race meetings.
“The partnership with Erebus will help promote us to a larger section of the truck buying public.”
Powered by a 15.2-litre, 560hp Euro 6 engine, the D38 is ideal for heavy-duty, long-haul transportation, making it a perfect fit for the Melbourne-based squad.
“With its combination of high power, fuel efficiency, outstanding ride comfort characteristics, plus multiple safety systems the MAN D38 really is the ideal truck for the task,” Long added.
As with all MANs, safety is of paramount importance and the D38 features the latest in active and passive safety features; a big tick for Erebus Motorsport’s CEO Barry Ryan.
“To and from the race track, our truck driver becomes the most important member of our team, so having a truck with the comfort and outstanding safety features of the MAN D38 is vital,” he said.
“This means the best conditions for a fatigue free, concentrated drive and restful living.
“Not only do our drivers need to arrive safely, but we pride ourselves on ensuring high levels of team presentation for our partners and fans – and the MAN D38 certainly looks the part.”
