All of the reaction from the first qualifying session of the season in Adelaide…

David Reynolds has qualified ninth for Saturday’s Shootout, just four tenths of a second off the top spot.

Anton De Pasquale, who set the pace in Practice 1 yesterday, clipped the wall at the high speed Turn 8, and ultimately recorded no timed lap.

DAVID REYNOLDS – 9th– 1:20.0107

“Today didn’t really go to plan, even though we made the top ten. I think my car is a lot better than where we qualified.

“I’m doing a bad job at two corners so I’m costing myself a fair bit of time, so if I can sort that out id be a lot happier. We did our job though and made it into the Shootout and that’s all we needed to do so we can jump up a few spots ahead of the race tomorrow.”

ANTON DE PASQUALE – 24th– N/A
“Qualifying didn’t really happen for me, I completed the first part of the lap a lot better than I had been this week, but I made a mistake at Turn 8. It’s really disappointing to do something like that, I just made a mistake and there was a big result.

“The guys and girls will work hard tonight, and we’ll be able to get back out tomorrow. The car has been fast all weekend so although it’ll be a tough start to the race now, we should be able to push forward.”

BARRY RYAN
“Dave did a great job to do what he did in qualifying; a place in the shootout and another chance to qualify on pole tomorrow.

“It’s not the ideal way to start the year of qualifying for Anton but he has accepted his error as we have, and the team has 100% support for him to race well tomorrow.”
