Erebus Academy is set to launch their Creating Pathways program, a dedicated Young Racing Driver Program, this December. A leader in the ultra-competitive Supercars arena, the team has created a mission for their future, providing young drivers with the support required to make it to the highest level of motorsport.

The Creating Pathways program is focused on identifying, mentoring and coaching young racing driver talent. By utilising a number of categories as drivers progress through different levels of development, the platform will provide a pathway from karting to the top tier of Australian motorsport.

“It can be very challenging and frustrating for young drivers, and more so their parents and support network, to know what the best pathway is into professional motorsport. We want to look to fill this void and create a more structured pathway for the drivers of the future”
Barry Ryan, Erebus Motorsport CEO

The specialist program provides tailored mentoring, marketing and management support to young racing drivers with the assistance of the Erebus Academy and its program partners. Their wide-ranging expertise and experience across the business of motorsport are perfectly placed to encourage and assist a young racing driver in maximising their on and off-track potential.

A strategic partnership formed with Paul Morris and one of Australia’s leading driver training facilities, Norwell Motorplex helps to develop racing driver’s talent and creates an opportunity to hone their skills on track. Assessment by professional instructors and mentors also provides a standard of training and assistance that is not readily available to young drivers in Australia.

The partnership will kick off on Wednesday December 4, when the Creating Pathways program hosts 86 Racing Series Tryouts. The audition is tailored to those drivers wanting to take the next step in their motorsport career and form their 2020 assault on the feeder series.

Creating Pathways aims to identify young talent and provide them with opportunities to develop the necessary range of skills, knowledge and confidence to successfully work towards their ultimate goal of racing in Supercars and other categories of professional motorsport.

Creating Pathways provides a unique set of benefits to each member of the program. These include;

  • Simulator Driver Coaching
  • Dedicated Driver Training Facility – Norwell Motorplex
  • Presentation Skills and Public Speaking
  • Marketing, Branding and Social Media
  • Bespoke Motor Racing Fitness and Nutrition
  • Optimal Mindset Coaching
  • Driver Well-Being and Lifestyle
  • Off-Track Race Preparation

As part of the holistic approach to driver development, Creating Pathways focuses on all the key areas that a young driver requires in today’s evolving motorsport environment.
