A revised calendar has been released today for the combined Dunlop Super2 and Dunlop Super3 Series, with two events confirmed to see out 2021.

Earlier this month it was announced the Repco Supercars Championship will return to run a rescheduled Championship calendar which includes five more events, four at Sydney Motorsport Park and the season finale, the six-day Repco Bathurst 1000 from 30th November to 5th December.

The combined Dunlop Super2 and Dunlop Super3 Series has now been confirmed to return on the final two undercards of the year:

– Beaurepaires Sydney SuperSprint, 19-21 November

– Repco Bathurst 1000, 30 November – 5 December

Supercars Chief Operating Officer Shane Howard said: “As was the case in 2020, drivers and teams have had a season filled with disruption caused by COVID-19 and we thank them all for persevering through these challenges.

“Over the opening three rounds of 2021, this combined category has delivered memorable door-to-door racing and unearthed some genuine stars of the future.

“We will now begin planning on formats and scheduling for these events and look forward to crowning new Champions at Mount Panorama in December.”

Motorsport Australia has confirmed that a Series winner can be crowned following the completion of the final event of the year at Mount Panorama.

Motorsport Australia Director of Motorsport & Commercial Operations Michael Smith said the existing Championship policy allowed for a Series winner to be declared.

“For both 2020 and 2021, we’ve all had to be flexible and adaptable in our approach to every single Championship and Series and in this case, we are very comfortable in awarding both a Super2 and Super3 Series winner in 2021,” Smith said.

“Full credit must go to the team at Supercars as well as the competitors and teams for committing to make this season happen. Of course, none of it would be possible without the dedicated volunteer Officials who will play a key role in delivering events for the remainder of this year.”

Jay Robotham currently sits 11th in the Super2 series, while his Image Racing and Erebus Academy teammate Reef McCarthy sits 2nd in the Super3 Series.
