Brodie Kostecki has moved up to the third in the Driver’s Championship after claiming his best Supercars finish at Symmons Plains today.

The Boost Mobile Racing powered by Erebus driver scored fourth, ahead of his teammate Will Brown, who moved up five spots to 13th at the finish line.

Starting from fourth on the gird, Brodie got a ripper start and made it up two spots by the first corner, before making a dive for the lead around the outside of the hairpin.

There was plenty of rubbing between the leaders before Brodie conceded to third at the end of the opening lap.

Will also got a good start and moved up four spots to P14 on the first lap. He continued his run and moved up to 12th before making a late dive for pit lane.

The Boost Mobile Racing powered by Erebus crew reacted ever so quickly and performed the perfect pit stop before sending Will on his way with new rear tyres.

The #99 Commodore came into the lane three laps later for the same treatment, stopping from P4.

The rest of the race was relatively straight forward. Brodie had a straight run to the checkered flag to take fourth, meanwhile Will made it as high as 11th before a small off saw him drop to P13 before the finish line.

The team now prepare for another two 44-lap races tomorrow, with dual qualifying sessions kicking off the action at 10:35am local time.
