Boost Mobile Racing powered by Erebus has turned around their weekend, with Will Brown and Brodie Kostecki achieving their best results on the final day at the Australian Grand Prix.
Celebrating his 50th Supercars race, Will got an impressive start and was quick off the line to make up four spots by the first corner, moving up beside his teammate Brodie who started from P9.
The Safety Car was called that same lap as Jack Smith couldn’t get off the starting grid, and as racing resumed both Boost Mobile drivers had their elbows out.
Will pit at the end of lap 4 for fresh rubber, and was closely followed by Brodie who came in the following lap. 12 laps later, the field was cleansed with Brodie running P7 and Will not far behind in P9.
The laps that followed were fairly straight forward until Shane van Gisbergen’s tyre blew with 2 laps to go which saw Brodie and Will each gain a position.
The Erebus duo raced hard right until the checkered flag and after a 5-second penalty was handed to Cameron Waters, Brodie was elevated to P5 at the finish, with Will just behind in P8.
The team now prepares for the Perth SuperNight in just over two weeks time, April 30 – May 1.
