Boost Mobile Racing powered by Erebus drivers Will Brown and Brodie Kostecki have shown promising pace as racing kicked off at the Australian Grand Prix this afternoon.

A difficult qualifying session yesterday saw Brodie starting from P13, followed by teammate Will in P16.

Both drivers had a solid start, with Will immediately gaining two positions out of the first corner, sitting directly behind Brodie who maintained his starting spot.

The #99 Commodore was one of the first to take the compulsory stop with Brodie pitting for soft tyres on lap 2, followed closely by Will who did the same on lap 3.

Two laps later, Will recorded the fastest lap of the race – setting the new race lap record in the process.

Brodie and Will were on the charge with the Erebus duo seeing P4 and P6 respectively before delaminated rear tyres saw the pair forced to take a secondary pit stop, swapping back to the hard compound.

Rejoining near the rear of the field, Brodie and Will continued the fight and both gained four spots in the final laps to see them cross the line in P14 and P17 respectively.

The team now prepares for two more 20-lap races tomorrow, with the first at 10:25am local time.
