Boost Mobile Racing powered by Erebus have finished a successful points haul in the final day of running at Winton Motor Raceway, with a best of fifth for young gun Will Brown.

Race 14
At the start, Brodie got away exceptionally well and went down the middle of the row in front to slot into 10th from P13 on the grid.

Will, who qualified 8th, also got a good start, and made one position by the end of the opening lap.

The #9 pilot was one of the first to pit, stopping early on lap 5 for left-side tyres. It was a great turnaround from yesterday, with a great stop by the crew who later backed it up with the fastest stop of the race for Brodie’s car on lap 18.

Again in podium-contention, Will sat 3rd but was under threat by some of the cars behind on fresher rubber. With almost 20-lap better tyres the two Grove Mustangs got by Will with ten to go. Chaz Mostert also made a pass on the second last lap down pit straight, bumping Will to 6th at the finish line. Brodie followed just outside the top ten, finishing in 11th in Erebus’ 300th race.

Race 15
Lining up for the final race of the weekend, Will sat in front of his teammate in P5 on the grid, Brodie behind in P7.

Both drivers got away well, and Brodie was the first to stop at the end of lap 5 for left-side tyres again. It was another great stop by the team, sending Brodie quickly on his way. Unfortunately though he #99 driver was handed a 15-second time penalty for speeding at pit entry which would later drop him down the ladder.

When the field was cleansed with ten laps to go, Will sat 5th just ahead of Brodie, though with a bit more car speed, the pair swapped spots before the finish line. Will let his teammate go to mitigate his positions lost due to the penalty, Will eventually 5th and Brodie 13th at the end.

The team now prepare for the sixth round of the Supercars Championship at Hidden Valley Raceway, June 17 – 19.
