Boost Mobile Racing powered by Erebus’ Brodie Kostecki has scored the team’s best result at Tailem Bend today, picking up sixth at the checkered flag.

At the start, it was his teammate Will Brown who got the better jump from P10 and moved up two spots. Meanwhile Brodie who started from P13, got buried behind traffic.

The #99 driver paved his own way though and made some moves to move into P11 before the end of the opening lap. Will got another pass done on the next lap, sliding by David Reynolds to take P7.

With Will in front and having pit priority, he was called into the box at the start of the pit window, for two left-side tyres.

With a busy pit lane, it was close between Jake Kostecki exiting and Will entering the fast lane. Will slowed to let Jake in front and ultimately lost time, though the Stewards still deemed it too close, and handed Will a 15-second time penalty for impeding car #56.

Brodie pit the next time round on lap 6, stopping for his two tyres. It couldn’t be faulted this time, with the team producing the fastest stop of the race.

By the end Brodie had made the biggest gains, and moved up to 6th, meanwhile Will crossed the line in 11th, though was demoted to P20 after the penalty.

The team now reset for two back-to-back qualifying sessions tomorrow, followed by two more races.
