Boost Mobile Racing powered by Erebus driver Brodie Kostecki has launched an auction for fans to bid on his newest race helmet, which he will wear at the season finale in Adelaide.

Kostecki will farewell Holden from Supercars in style, unveiling a new tribute helmet for this weekend’s VALO Adelaide 500.

“It’s a big weekend of racing come up, particularly given it’s the last weekend for Holden in Supercars,” Kostecki said.

“I wanted to do something special to farewell Holden and it’s fitting to be running a special tribute helmet in Adelaide,” Kostecki said.

“Holden has such a rich history here, with the Holden plant in Adelaide a big part of Holden’s legacy.

“We always want to win, but it would be extra special to take out Holden’s last win, and that’s what we want to do this weekend.”

Making the helmet even more special, Kostecki is auctioning the piece off, with all proceeds going directly to providing relief to those affected by flooding in South Australia.

Kostecki visited regional SA on Wednesday to provide some light relief in Mannum, where locals are in a race against time as floodwater rapidly moves downstream and threatens to inundate homes and livelihoods.

“I heard about the floods and wanted to do something to help out affected communities,” Kostecki said.

“We took the car up to Mannum this morning and did a few runs down the main street.

“It’s a challenging time but it’s great to visit their small community and see that their spirits are still high.

“Hopefully we can raise some money this weekend and put the proceeds towards Mannum and the flood relief.”

Kostecki will work with the Mid Murray Council post-auction to donate the proceeds to flood relief charities.

Bidding is now live via Grays.com, with the auction closing 8:00pm AEDT Tuesday, 6 December.
