Erebus Academy driver Jobe Stewart has claimed his first podium of the season with 2nd place at Bathurst today, while his teammate Jarrod Hughes secured 9th.
Jobe got an impressive start from the front row, getting the jump ahead of Kai Allen and leading the pack into turn 1.
Meanwhile, Jarrod lost a spot after starting from 11th, before the first Safety Car was deployed on lap 4.
Racing resumed 3 laps later, with Jobe comfortably holding onto second and Jarrod gaining a position after a car went off at turn 1.
The second and final Safety Car was deployed after Cooper Murray collided with the wall at the Cutting. Despite only 30 seconds remaining in the time certain race, greens were waved for just one lap before the last corner, allowing for a single lap of green racing.
Jobe finished the 12-lapper in 2nd, with Jarrod scoring 9th after post-race penalties were handed out.
Jarrod heads to their next round 6th in the Championship, with Jobe 7th. The Perth SuperSprint kicks off May 17-19.
