Erebus Academy’s Jobe Stewart will once again be sporting a new livery for this week’s edition of the Supercars Eseries, carrying the familiar red and white of Pedders Suspension & Brakes.
The popular look originated from the livery Pedders Suspension & Brakes Managing Director Scott Pedder donned in his 2014 Australian Rally Car Championship campaign, and again in last year’s Supercars Eseries celebrity race.
Pedder claimed victory in the virtual event, and the livery was then replicated for Will Brown this year at the Townsville 500, before returning for the Townsville SuperSprint the following weekend.
The Townsville double-header delivered a mixed bag of results for Brown, though Saturday’s race of the first event provided a head-turning moment after an intense battle with Cameron Waters in the final laps saw the #9 driver grasp fifth at the finish line.
Stewart, who will pilot the Pedders-backed car this week, is thrilled to be carrying the iconic colours.
“It is definitely a big honour to be running the Pedders livery, with Pedders being such a big name in the motorsport world,” Stewart said.
“With Scott Pedder winning the celebrity race last year in the Eseries and Will using it in the real world this year and getting some good results, I’m hoping to get some good results of my own.
“I’ve been improving every round so far so hopefully I can sneak into the top ten with everyone from Erebus and Pedders backing me heading into round 3.”
Stewart and his teammate Jarrad Filsell, who sit 16th and 2nd in the standings, will head to Road America for 10 laps of the Pro Series, while All Star Brodie Kostecki will race at Daytona.
Qualifying will kick off this Wednesday at 7:00pm AEST and will be broadcast live on Facebook, Twitch and Youtube.
Racing coverage will follow from 7:30pm AEST and be broadcast live on Fox Sports, Kayo, 7 Plus and Sky NZ.
