Erebus Academy’s Reef McCarthy has revealed the new-look Falcon he will race when he makes his debut at Sydney Motorsport Park this weekend.

Currently sitting second in the Super3 Championship, Reef has secured additional backing, announcing Pace Images as a major partner for this weekend’s return to racing.

Pace Images owner Ben Roehlen is a Motorsport Australia and Karting Australia accredited photographer, who will see his business’ branding take residence on the doors of McCarthy’s Super3.

“I’ve had the pleasure of watching Reef grow as a driver from the junior classes of karting through to Formula Vee and now Super3,” Roehlen said.

“He’s always taken each new challenge in his stride with great respect for his competitors and puts a huge amount of passion, energy and preparation into his campaign. 

“I am looking forward to seeing Reef continue to climb the ranks of Australian motorsport.”

Designed by 2wo 7even Custom Graphics, the black and blue Falcon also sees a new addition to the bonnet.

A fan driven initiative has given fans the chance to have their name on Reef’s Supercar for the remainder of the Super3 Series rounds this year, with the incentive to help raise funds for his racing.

The names of 89 different fans and businesses will be displayed on the bonnet of McCarthy’s Falcon, with each donor helping raise $5,615 to go towards the 17-year-old seeing out his debut Super3 season.

“I’m really looking forward to my first visit to Sydney Motorsport Park, it’s a track I’ve always wanted to race at,” he said.

“It’s definitely a track that looks quite technical, the fast sweeping corners have always caught my eye when I’ve watched it on tv.

“We had a great shakedown of the Image Racing FG Falcon at Winton a few weeks ago and the car felt really strong, it was awesome to drive.

“I can’t wait to learn a new track, I know I have a really competitive car so hopefully I get up to speed quickly and get some good results.”

McCarthy will hit the track tomorrow for a test day before the Sydney SuperNight kicks off Friday, November 19.
