Boost Mobile Racing powered by Erebus are looking to make the most of tomorrow’s final race at the Australian Grand Prix, after their results were again hindered in today’s two races.

Race 7

At the start, Brodie capitalised on his starting position and moved forward one spot to fifth. Meanwhile Will, who started further back, put the power down quick and gained five spots by the end of the opening lap.

Among the first to pit, Brodie swapped from the soft tyre to the hard compound on lap 3 before the first Safety Car was called.

The crew reacted quickly with Will taking his compulsory stop under yellow conditions, though congestion in the fast lane meant Will couldn’t get out of his box, and dropped six spots in the process.

On the restart Brodie sat P4, though a big move around the outside of Will Davison saw the Boost Mobile Commodore drop onto the dirt.

With his rubber then worse for wear, Brodie was a passenger and got bumped down the order to 15th.

A second Safety Car was deployed on lap 10 and when racing resumed, Will was forced to serve a pit-lane penalty for an earlier incident with Andre Heimgartner.

The drive-through saw the #9 Holden fall down the order, from P15 to P23, before the checkered flag.

With the race time-certain, Brodie made the most of a chaotic closing lap and moved up to 8th before the finish line, while a penalty for Chaz Mostert further elevated him to P7.

Race 8

When the lights went out for the second race Will, who started from P13, gained a spot on the start. Meanwhile Brodie, who was further down in P17, made some ground and went side-by-side with his teammate through the first complex.

Brodie again opted to get off the soft-tyre early and pit as early as lap 2, meanwhile Will worked his way forward to P6 before he took his compulsory stop.

When the pit stop sequence was complete Will was driving well in P8, meanwhile Brodie was not far behind in P15.

The complexion of the race changed when tyre trouble struck again; a delaminated left-front forcing Will to complete a secondary pit stop with two laps to go.

At the end Brodie crossed the line P15, meanwhile Will’s additional stop saw him follow in P24.

The team will return to track tomorrow for their final race at 12:00pm local time.
