Brodie Kostecki has claimed third and taken home the Larry Perkins after a thrilling final race at Albert Park today.
Teammate Will Brown was in the hot seat for a podium after starting from P3, though it came undone on lap 3 when the #9 Camaro went into a spin.
Brodie, who started from P14, opted to start on the hard compound tyre, while Will opted for the alternate strategy and was on the super-soft tyre as they started under Safety Car.
The #99 driver picked up two spots to sit P12 before quickly coming into the pits at the end of lap 2 to swap to the softer rubber.
Will was looking at the lead and tousled with Chaz Mostert on lap 3. The move was on, though Will caught the edge of the grass and was sent into a spin.
He managed to gather it up and get back to pit lane, where the crew worked quickly and efficiently to change the broken steering arm and get him back out on track within 2 laps to secure valuable points for the team.
With one lap to go and the pit stops complete, Brodie had ragged it up 11 spots to be third as they came around to the finish line. It makes it four podiums in a row for Brodie who also now leads the Drivers’ Championship.
Will crossed the line shortly after in P23, still securing enough points to stand 5th in the standings and help the team maintain their top spot in the Teams Championship.
Coca-Cola Racing by Erebus will next head to the Perth SuperSprint, 28-30 April.
