Erebus Academy driver Jobe Stewart has concluded his debut Super3 season today with an overall second place podium after clinching the Championship title yesterday afternoon. 

Meanwhile, his Super2 teammates Jay Hanson and Jordan Boys had a positive day on track with both drivers securing top ten finishes in P6 and P9 respectively.

Starting in pole for the second day in a row, Jobe lost out on the lead amongst the first lap, though quickly regained the position and built a one car gap between himself and Mason Kelly. 

Amongst the Super2 field, Jay got a great start from P6 and managed to gain a position by the third corner securing P5, while Jordan gained two positions to assume P12 by the end of lap 2. 

3 laps later, Jordan was quickly moving his way through the field and was now five positions higher than he started in P9. Meanwhile, Cameron Crick had managed to sneak past Jay who was now back in his original P6 starting position. 

By lap 7, Jobe had conceded the lead to Cameron McLeod as a broken right rear shock saw him gradually losing speed. Meanwhile, Jay and Jordan continued to run P6 and P9 respectively, avoiding a number of racing incidents along the way. 

With 6 laps to go, Jobe directly behind McLeod and looking to reclaim the lead, though unfortunately a small clash with the wall saw Nash Morris drop down the field and slot himself between the two Super3 drivers. 

As the checkered flag was waved, Jay and Jordan crossed the line in P7 and P9 respectively, though a 5 second post-race penalty handed to Cameron Crick resulted in Jay’s elevation to P6. 

Shortly after his two teammates, Jobe managed to finish P2 despite having damage and secured second overall for the Adelaide 500 season finale. 

At the conclusion of the 2023 Dunlop Series season, Jobe was able to claim the Super3 Championship victory, while Jay finished sixth in the Super2 Championship standings.
